It all began in 1918 with the foundation of Spanninga in Joure (Netherlands). Since 1992, Jos International in Nantua (France) has played a key role in the organization. Q-Lite in Taichung (Taiwan) joined the group in 1999. In 2006, Spanninga bought the Chinese JV owned by Hella Germany and Sate-lite USA, and renamed it Spanninga Bicycle Components (Foshan) Co., Ltd (SBC). Over three generations, the company has grown from its origin as a Dutch company to one of the world leaders in bicycle lighting

Spanninga Bicycle Components (Foshan) Co., Ltd (SBC) keeps on producing Hella range products, and developing new products. Most of our products meet the requirements of the German, British and French standards. Last June, SBC succesfully passed the audit control from Bureau Veritas (BV) with Grade A. Within the same year, SBC reorganized its quality system according to ISO9001:2000, and has been granted the Certificate from DNV in November. High quality development and production of bicycle lighting is and will always be a major concern for SBC.
